UUCDC is a Welcoming Congregation
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County (UUCDC) is a Welcoming Congregation that seeks to celebrate and support the lives, the relationships, and contributions of its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and heterosexual members and friends. We affirm and promote full participation of everyone in the life of our congregation and our community.
Our congregation's Welcoming Congregation Resolution was voted on and accepted on April 21, 2002.
Delco Dudes is a non-denominational community outreach of the Welcoming Congregation Program, which provides a safe, friendly, comfortable, facilitated setting in which gay men can meet, socialize, and support each other. Meetings can consist of discussion of issues of interest to the men attending, in addition to other activities. We may have guest speakers on occasion. This program is intended to serve gay men; however, anyone at least 18 years of age will be welcomed at our meetings. The group meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the McClennen Room. There is also an online e-mail group for Delco Dudes members, including those who can’t attend meetings, but would like to participate in the program, and be informed about events and activities. For more information about this group, or to be added to the e-mail list, contact email@example.com.
