UUCDC is a Welcoming Congregation

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County (UUCDC) is a Welcoming Congregation that seeks to celebrate and support the lives, the relationships, and contributions of its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and heterosexual members and friends. We affirm and promote full participation of everyone in the life of our congregation and our community.

Our congregation's Welcoming Congregation Resolution was voted on and accepted on April 21, 2002.

Interweave LGBTQIA & Friends group is dedicated to the spiritual, political, and social well-being of Unitarian Universalists and others in our larger community who are confronting oppression as lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual persons; the group includes their heterosexual and cisgendered allies. Interweave celebrates the culture and lives of all of its members and its friends.

We invite your participation at our Interweave brown-bag lunch gatherings on the third Sunday monthly at 12:30 pm, where we plan social gatherings, small service projects, special events, and support one another in the continuation of our spiritual growth. You are also invited to the 1st Sunday of the month potluck brunch at 12:30 pm in the McClennen Room. For more information about our next meeting, contact Interweave. We look forward to meeting you.

Delco Dudes is a non-denominational community outreach of the Welcoming Congregation Program, which provides a safe, friendly, comfortable, facilitated setting in which gay men can meet, socialize, and support each other.  Meetings can consist of discussion of issues of interest to the men attending, in addition to other activities.  We may have guest speakers on occasion.  This program is intended to serve gay men; however, anyone at least 18 years of age will be welcomed at our meetings. The group meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the McClennen Room. There is also an online e-mail group for Delco Dudes members, including those who can’t attend meetings, but would like to participate in the program, and be informed about events and activities. For more information about this group, or to be added to the e-mail list, contact delco.dudes@uucdc.org.
