Adult UUCDC congregants on their on-going search for faith and meaning are enriched by our Soul Matters Religious Education (RE) program.

Soul Matters organizes small circles of congregants to meet and share about thought-provoking topics, through exercises, questions, and resources. The overarching theme for 2023–2024 is The Gifts of Our Faith. It encompasses these ten UU values and explores their potential to shape us and, in turn, shape our world:

The Gift of…
September: Welcome
October: Heritage
November: Generosity
December: Mystery
January: Liberating Love
February: Justice and Equity
March: Transformation
April: Interdependence
May: Pluralism
June: Renewal

Groups meet monthly (except for summer) at the church, via Zoom, or a combination of both, for two hours in the afternoon or evening. The church provides rich resource packets for the themes, which are sometimes also reflected in our worship services and in the RE curriculum for our children and youth. Existing circles start in September; new ones typically begin in October or February. Register online or print and return the paper registration to the church office. To sign up or for more information, contact the Soul Matters coordinators.

Soul Matters is a great way to engage with others from the church and to learn more about your spirituality and yourself.
