Giving Beyond UUCDC
Designated Restricted Fund donations are the intentional accumulation of funds for specific uses to support the mission of the church. UUCDC offers a variety of ways for generous donors to support our work, from one-time gifts to a range of planned giving opportunities.
Family Promise (formerly Interfaith Hospitality Network Fund) - Provides funds to support lodging, meals, support and life/work readiness skills training for homeless families who are admitted to the program.
Hunger Task Force Fund - Provides funds to purchase food items to prepare and serve dinner for homeless individuals at the Life Center Shelter in Upper Darby on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
Media Food Bank Fund - Provides funds to purchase fresh produce to supplement our congregation's donated food items for the Media Food Bank at the Media's First United Methodist Church.
NAACP Scholars Fund - Provides funds in support of college scholarships of $1,000 per year for up to four years awarded to each of four Chester students selected by the NAACP Chester chapter.
Memorial Garden Fund - Provides funds to maintain the beauty and serenity of this special area of our church grounds.
Adopt-a-Family Fund - Provides funds for gifts and food for the holiday season in support of needy families identified by the County Child Welfare Agency.
